Pregnancy & Parenting Support

"New Shoots" is a support group and incentive program especially designed to meet the needs of first time moms.* The New Shoots program helps you earn points to exchange for most of the items you will need to acquire for the care of your newborn. To participate in New Shoots you must complete an application  which will be reviewed for approval by the program director.

All New Shoots members are required to attend the two monthly meetings, to remain in good standing. Each meetings features training presented by the program director or a special speaker on topics such as parenting, child birth, baby safety, etc. Meetings are currently being held in the evening, on the first and third Wednesday of each month.

*Other young mothers may qualify for the program at the discretion of the director.

New Life is a family resource center serving moms, dads, grandparents, foster parents  - anyone having legal custody of a child. There are no financial requirements or restrictions for enrollment into our programs.

New Life is able to aid families by providing resources which are needed in the care of infants and toddlers up to 24 months old. Some of these items (new or used) are earned through a reward system of points.  However, some donated resources, when available, may be loaned (without points) to families for the duration of the time needed.  These items include strollers, swings, baby seats and jumpers, high chairs, bassinets, and Pack-N-Play(s). We do not accept donations of used cribs or used car seats.

Some new items that we are able to provide in exchange for points are disposable diapers, diaper wipes, crib, mattress, baby bath items, Rock-N-Play sleeper, bassinet, car seat, stroller/car seat combo, stroller, diaper bag, Pack-N-Play, high chair, baby swing.

We also keep a stock of gently-used clothing for infants and toddlers, maternity clothing for expectant mothers. Please stop by the center and ask us about this program.  We would also be happy to give you a tour of our facility while explaining our programs to you.
