What is one of my BIG dreams right now? What is my boldest prayer for New Life Pregnancy Resource Center?
It is a larger building for our ministry.
Every morning before work we pray asking God to bring people through our doors. He has honored that prayer request time and time again. We have grown so much that we barely have space to move when we have our CrossOver meetings. A typical night sees us with 11 ladies, 6 who are pregnant and 5 with children in tow. They also come with car seats, diaper bags, baby walkers, and high chairs that take up space. You will also find Kim, Mary and I in this mix. It takes 13 feet of table space to accommodate all of us so that we can sit and share a meal. Sometimes we (Mary, Kim, and I) eat in the office because there isn’t enough room for us at the table.
We also have trouble moving about in our Baby Room. We now have to limit use to two ladies at a time with one of us helping the women choose the clothing they’ve earned for their children. Add a couple of babies and we are quite cozy. We are literally bursting at the seams!
As I pray in bold faith about the need for a bigger building I’m quite aware of the fact that I am powerless to bring this all to fruition. This is where it gets good, because that is exactly what God wants me to realize. I don’t have to be able to do it. He will. He will make it all happen, in His time, and in His way. I just need to believe Him for it.
I can barely contain the excitement I feel when I realize that God is including me in His plans for New Life. He has brought me here for this moment in time and He brought me with a great purpose in mind. He has provided me with excellent women of God to travel this road of faith with. They also pray bold prayers for this ministry. God has also set an executive board in place that is prepared to step out in faith and obedience to His calling and will for this ministry.
I will not offend God with a lack of boldness or big dreaming. God, today I’m ready for you to blow my socks off!
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
